I have the math gene because my dad was indeed very good with math as a child. His math skills are still very fresh and he uses them at his job as an electricion/ carpenter. He does'nt like using a calculator, nor does he like me using one. He says to me, "Your brain is smarter than some stupid old calculator. Use it." His best subject as a kid and adult was and still is math. My mom is the same story.
That's so cool how you have the math Gene. My mother is still fresh in math, she's an artist. My mother uses math to determine the angles for her pictures and other things. My father is the same as my mother.
ReplyDeleteYour father is right!
ReplyDeleteBut there is no math gene! Dr. Keith J. Devlin is the author of “The Math Gene: How Mathematical Thinking Evolved and Why Numbers Are Like Gossip” and in his book, he contends this theory is not true after conducting modern research to prove that we all have the ability to do math!
