The Hardest Arithmetic

"The hardest arithmetic to master is that which enables us to count our blessings."
This quote means to me...well to be honest I am yet not sure of what this quote is saying or asking. I've questioned myself on it and thought about it and asked people what it meant to them. They all tolled me different things. Arithmetic I dont really know the meaning of, it'd hard to explain or understand because I don't use such big words. Though I know about blessings and know how it may be about god. Counting our blessings, I cannot do. I am unable to count my blessings..

Could I agree with Zachary?

I could and yet couldnt agree with math. Well I say this because, Zachary is most likey smarter than I am in math and just like his mom said, "you only get to be young once". I think its great how Zachary is planning out his future and has amazing oppurtunities but that was just an opinion, a thousand kids would probably choose something else over math. Zachary is a younger kid than I am and to me, he should enjoy and grasp the youth he has. :]

MATH Acrostic Poem

Many numbers
Are always around me, you, and you
They are fun indeed to play with
However the number's may play with you back !

What is my math perspective?

My math perspective has stayed the same and yet has also changed because I actually am doing 'okay' compared to what my grades were last year. I admit, my methods and concentration were different where I would understand things fast without second guessing, in high school im getting to where I feel like I'm like 'what? How? Why?' and it's difficult to be like that in class when everyone else around me screams out the answer without a second to spare. My first quarter project was about reall numbers. I still have trouble with understanding them and tryin to sort them out into group or in order. The revelations that came to me while doing this project was the fact it was pretty difficult to present it since I was nervous to say what I meant or felt. Other than that, I had trouble with even now, reading over my notes, I had to re- read over and over just to get an idea. I was pretty confused back then, I'm getting more of a good idea whats going on so thats good.

Do I Have The Math Gene?

I have the math gene because my dad was indeed very good with math as a child. His math skills are still very fresh and he uses them at his job as an electricion/ carpenter. He does'nt like using a calculator, nor does he like me using one. He says to me, "Your brain is smarter than some stupid old calculator. Use it." His best subject as a kid and adult was and still is math. My mom is the same story.

History of Mathematics

When I saw the video, it did'nt seem all interesting to me because I kinda already knew from my social studies classes when I was younger how cave men or ancient times back then would try to communicate with others. I found it pretty entertaining though, but what I always have to question is why that way. Why not some way else? :] Though i did like the part how in each different part of the world had their own different way of communication and the way they write.

What color is math?

If math could be a color, it would be red. I believe for math to be red because in my opinion they fit eachother perfectly. When i think of math, I think of numbers, equations, and such. I also see Big Red letters reading "MATH".

The world would be a better place without mathematics

I strongly disagree with this statement because anything we do now includes math. Shopping, Jobs, Studying, anything. Anyone could learn math, it takes time to learn for some and for others they get it right off the batt. Mathematics is anything with numbers. The world without math would be pretty chaotic..no im kidding..it'd just be confusing and then lost. What would science, and money, be without math..nothing, just a whole bunch of questions..

This is a Test!

I blog all the time: on facebook, on myspace, and on all those other social networking sites. now, i can blog about math!
